As part of the state executive branch, the Office of the West Virginia Attorney General handles the various legal matters impacting our state, including, but not limited to, important areas such as consumer protection, civil rights, tax & revenue, criminal appeals, and other critical litigation involving the state. The Office of the West Virginia Attorney General is comprised of seven divisions that encompass almost every type of law that affects the state.
